A VERY GOOD FRIEND-DR.CORNEY

I was looking for a good Gyn. and I asked my sister who is a surgical tech,she recommend Dr.Corney who is a very good Physicians & Gyn. When I met her in BJ Wholesale and she took the time to listen to my concerns. I decided to go and she made me fill very welcome. When I arrived at her office she took the time to examine me and asked did I have any questions or concerns. The rest is history. When I needed surgery, she told me she would take care of me and not to worry. She helped me though this procedure. She is a very outstanding and caring individual. She also saved my mother's life who is 76 years old. I will never forget how concerned she was after she examined my mother and took time with her making her feel at ease. I have recommended my best friend and other friends to her and they just love her. She is very professional,kind, and gentle. Keep doing what you do for today's Women Health.

As a patient of Dr. Corney's a recent patient by the way who found her through the internet I am not saying this person is not telling the truth or that I am trying to make an excuse for the doctor, but as all women know that visiting a doctor who will do a women exam, this exam can be uncomfortable much of the time and can leave you felling somewhat uncomfortable. As far as not knowing your name I realize that good "bedside" manners depicts that all doctors should have them, but I can imagine that with all the patients that Dr. Corney sees or any doctor sees at times something can slip. Knowing Dr. Corney I am confident she meant no harm.

I have been seeing Dr. Corney for over twenty years in fact she delivered my daughter more than twenty years ago and I find in the doctor such warmth and compassion that it has never crossed my mind to seek another physician. She has work with me through several serious health problems. I believe strongly that without her and her medical expertise the outcomes of these health problems may not have been so favorable. I love her so every chance I get I tell my friends and relatives about her. And, as a consequence quite a few of them are now her patients and seem to be very comfortable with her and her medical skills. I will say unequivocally she is the best Ostetrician / Gynecologist in the Tidewater area. In addition I must applaud the fact that she having the Late and Early hours shows her interest in providing this convenience for her "valued" patients as she is so quick to say.

My regular doctor wanted me to have a hysterectomy because of recurrent uterine fibroids and I decided to get a second opinion. Dr. Corney listened to my concerns. She made me aware of other options to deal with my problem that were less invasive and enabled me to keep my uterus. One year later, my fibroids are shrinking and/or calcified. Success! I would not have had the confidence to try a different approach were it not for her advice. She is a great doctor.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Corney and I recommend her to all my family and friends. No one likes to visit the doctor but when you can go to a doctor and come out feeling as if you just visited a good friend, that is the sign of a good doctor. A Very Happy Patient
